Heavy Weight Cargo
Heavy, oversized cargo that requires special equipment to handle or move can be a challenge for some logistics companies. That’s not a problem at AFF Logistics. We're well versed in the special requirements of moving this kind of cargo—requirements such as pilot cars, road permits, drop or double drop trailers, cranes, and booms. We can move your heavy weight cargo both over the road or rail within the contiguous United States, and over the water to Hawaii, Guam or wherever the final destination.
Project Business
A project can be highway construction, mine construction, portable logging operation, dam construction, or a windmill generation system. It can be new commercial construction, such as a large box retailer or hotel. But no matter what your project is, we can help with the logistics. Your AFF Project Manager will make all the arrangements for loading, carrier selection, transfers, and on-site management. Our logistics services include transportation, warehousing and staging of all finishing materials, even furnishings.
Brokerage
We hold a brokerage license that allows us to act as third party on your behalf, handling the management, contracting, and routing of shipments between cities in the continental United States. We handle predominantly full trailer loads using over-the-road or rail transport, or a combination. We can also handle trans-border transportation from and to cities along the Canadian Border and cities in the continental United States.
As a registered broker of property (freight), under registration number MC379336B, no cargo liability is offered as part of our general services. Liability is limited to the terms and conditions provided by the carriers physically handling the transportation. AFF Logistics does offer All Risk Marine Insurance though an independent third party insurance broker at an additional charge, when requested.
