As usual there will be some changes in the normal sailing schedules and cutoffs for receipt of cargo at the American Fast Freight facilities and their subsidiaries during the Week of Christmas and New Year’s.
In general, all of our facilities will be completely closed on Christmas Day, 12/25 and New Year’s Day, 01/01.
Changes in sail days and cargo cut-offs detailed by market below:
Port of Tacoma: There will be only one northbound sailing to Port of Anchorage the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s. There will be no sailing on Christmas Day or New Year’s day. There will be one sailing each week on Wed 12/23 and 12/30 and will arrive in the Port of Anchorage on Sunday Morning.
Due to limited capacity on these sailings, cargo must be received at our Fife, WA dock by 4:00 PM Tue, 12/22 and 12/29 to make these departures.
The Fife facility will have a skeleton crew on 24th and 31st. AFF Fife will not be receiving Chill freight on the 24th or the 31st . We will be receiving Chill freight Mon, Tues, and Wed both weeks. Please don’t forget: Chill freight requires appointments. Deliveries without appointments will be received as a work-in. Extensive wait times may be required for deliveries without appointments.
Port of Long Beach:
The weekly Alaska consolidation trailers that are transported from Los Angeles to our facility in Fife, WA will be cancelled during the week of Christmas and New Year’s.
The last consolidated trailer for December will be Wed, December 16th. Our weekly Alaska consolidation trailer will begin again on January 6th. Please make alternative arrangements to move your freight to our Fife facility for transport to Alaska during this time.
