***Due to system issues the Matson Tacoma 47N sailing was delayed, which departed for Anchorage Saturday, July 1st. They plan a 14:00 (2:00 PM AKDT) Start on Tuesday, July 4th with cargo availability starting at 15:00 (3:00 PM AKDT).***
Official Matson Communication:
“Matson Tacoma 47N departed for Anchorage this morning, Saturday, July 1, at 07:42. As a result of the recent cyber-attack on A.P. Moller-Maersk and the temporary loss of systems at APMT Tacoma, operations were again run on alternate systems and manual processes for our second northbound sailing this week.
While Tacoma operations improved using the new processes, productivity remained challenged under these difficult circumstances. APMT and Matson employees literally worked through the night, but ultimately the sailing was delayed.
At this time we plan a 14:00 start on Tuesday, July 4, with cargo available at 15:00. The gate will be open as needed throughout the day and night. If our ETA adjusts in any way, we will advise immediately.
Looking ahead, due to the holiday, Matson’s next northbound sailing is Thursday, July 6, with an ETD Tacoma of 22:00. We will keep you advised of progress at APMT Tacoma.“
