Terminals Closed for Observance of Memorial Day, Some Cut-off Times Affected
In observance of Memorial Day, most of the American Fast Freight, Hawaiian Ocean Transport and Caribbean Shipping Services terminals, as well as AFF Logistics, AFF Distribution and American Relocation Services, will be closed on Memorial Day. While a few of our offices will be partially staffed, the operations terminals will not be receiving cargo on that day, unless special arrangements have been made in advance, with the exception of San Leandro. Our San Leandro terminal will have a full crew on Monday May 29th and will be open our regular hours. Our cut off for the Tuesday Matson Vessel is Friday, May 26th.
The Memorial Day closures include our facilities in: Carson, California; Honolulu, Hawaii; Fife, Washington; Jacksonville, Florida; Anchorage, Fairbanks, Kodiak and Soldotna, Alaska. Our Alaska dispatch will be open and deliveries will commence as normal for those Alaska businesses that are open and receiving freight.
There will be no change in the various vessel departures that week to Alaska. However, due to the holiday closures, some cargo cut-off times and deliveries will be affected:
- Cargo cut-off in San Leandro for the Tuesday Matson Vessel is Friday, May 26th.
- Cargo cut-off in Carson for the May 27 sailing out of Long Beach will be noon (12 p.m.) on May 25. Cargo cut-off in Carson for the May 30 sailing out of Long Beach will be noon (12 p.m.) on May 28th.
- All Hawaii deliveries normally scheduled for Monday will be made on Tuesday.
